The Town of Streetsville is named after its founder, Timothy Street and surrounds the Credit River. Historically, Streetsville served as the business centre for the surrounding farming communities due to its access to water for milling and other industries.

Old Village of Streetsville is located on Queen St, which runs from Britannia Rd at the north to the rail road tracks in the south, Just after Reid Drive. It extends east to the Credit River and west to approximately Broadway St. The Village of Streetsville is a vibrant community home to local shops, historic buildings, fine dining and boutiques. It is a favourite destination of tourists to Mississauga and residents from other areas of the city who want to go out for a nice time

Along Queen St in the heart of Streetsville are boutique shops, grocery shopping and fine dining. Streetsville is located close to major shopping centres such as Erin Mills Town Centre and Square 1. Just south of Streetsville is the Credit Valley hospital, one of the largest hospitals in Mississauga

Streetsville has a large number of parks and recreational spaces for residents to enjoy. The larger being Streetsville Memorial Park which has many ammenities including a soccer field, baseball diamons, the Vic Johnston community centre and hockey arena, outdoor pool, fishing and walking trails. Further noth on the Credit River and also in the Village of Streetsville is the Timothy Street Memorial Park.

Streetsville Transportation

Streetsville go train station  Streetsville is centrally located in Mississauga and is within minutes of both highways 401 and 403. Located near the intersection of Queen St and Thomas, the Streetsville Go Train Station provides transportation to Downtown Toronto. Streetsville is also serviced by the Mississauga Transit, that provides transit to all areas of Mississauga.
